No. Build games, tools, marketplaces, social apps. Your Mini App just needs to connect to at least one supported wallet interaction.

Cycle III is themed: Pay, Save, Earn, and On/Off-Ramp. Build a Mini App that integrates with at least one supported token (USDT, NIM, or both) and that someone can actually use. Off-theme Mini Apps can still enter and are eligible for the Community Council Prize only. The strongest entries solve a real problem, serve a clear audience, and feel polished. See the Cycle III page for guidance and examples.

Yes. Teams of up to 5 can enter together. One designated lead per team handles submission and prize payouts.

Submissions are scored by the Nimiq Community Council across five categories: functionality, reliability and usefulness; Nimiq Pay and Nimiq integration; real usage; design and UX; and the builder promotion checklist. The highest-scoring Mini App in each Cycle III category wins that category’s prize. The Community Council Prize is open to all submissions, including off-theme Mini Apps. See the scoring.

Cycle III has a $17,000 USDC prize pool: $4,000 for the best Mini App in each category (Pay, Save, Earn, On/Off-Ramp) and a $1,000 Community Council Prize. See the full breakdown.
